I love what I do!

Dear Friends

I would like to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to
everyone out there! Whether you have supported me financially, or have
thought about me and sent me a text message or email, or if you have
prayed and are still praying for me, thank you. If you could look into
my heart and see what your prayers and support are accomplishing, you
would be thankful and encouraged that you took the time!

Since last month, things have begun to escalate in an incredibly
positive direction! We have had a few changes here at Adventures In
Missions, and I can see God’s grace and mercy in all of them! We are
currently in a season of heavy preparation. So often we loose sight of
the tangible, lasting things in life like relationships. This past
week I was following up with some phone calls with youth pastors
looking to take their kids on a missions trip this summer, and one
person I spoke with is Tommy. Tommy has only been a youth pastor for
six months! During our conversation, he started to express interest
and a passionate heart towards missions and serving people. As soon as
I heard this I was fired up! Tommy had never heard about us, but
wanted to start a relationship with someone who had not only his best
interests in mind but also the best for his students. I loved this
interaction with Tommy because I can relate to him. I had been through
a season of ministry as a youth pastor and it was as if we spoke from
the same heart for what we are passionate about. Everything in life is
about perspective. For me the biggest opportunity Tommy has on this
missions trip with his students is BEING THERE WITH THEM! That is it,
intentionality! It is all about the investment, and that is why I do
what I do.

I have experienced Jesus in ways no one will ever comprehend, but I
believe others can have those experiences, and they are out there to
be had! Tommy is a normal guy, but who lives inside of Tommy is
extraordinary! That came out in our conversation. Changing the world
never started with a speech or an exuberant amount of money. It always
started in someone’s heart. It is such an incredible opportunity to be
able to build and have relationships with these youth pastors! They
believe in the future of these students, just as I do for all the
students with whom I come in contact. I couldn’t be more excited about
this next season!

As I continue to serve Jesus and sharpen the “tools, in my tool bag” I
have been affirmed in some purpose. I have realized that the greatest

gift I can offer anyone is the hope that lays within me. I want to be
in the world to build people. I’m enthralled by others’ stories and
journeys in life. Their passions fuel my heart and allow me to support
and encourage them! I was made to build people; I’m done with making
“things” that have no value. People are the only constants in life,
that’s why intentionality though relationships is vital. In this role
at Adventures I get to aid in develop environments, and help disciple
people of all ages. Life doesn’t get any better than this. However,
its not always an easy place to live. Contrary to culture, results
must be immediate. I on the other had would rather take the time plow
the field and wait for an impressive sunflower to grow seven feet out
of the ground. It doesn’t happen overnight, but we get to nurture and
remember every step of the growth journey.

At the end of this month I have a really amazing opportunity to go to
Guatemala March 21-29! There are some significant things that
are happening, and a group of us have been selected to go. This trip
reminds me a lot about my home city by the things we are seeking Jesus
to do. I can’t explain all the details but what I can tell you is that
we are moving in strategic areas, heading into darkness to bring life
where there is death, and healing to where there is brokenness. I
would ask you to partner with me I need $700 for this trip (Click her to give!) and I also
need your prayers. We aren’t staying in urban cities, we are going to
be very remote and will be roughing it the whole time.  I can’t wait
to update you all on this trip. Thank you for your support and
prayers. I cherish it all!

Grace and Peace!
